Best time to drive
June to September keeps the high grassland open and green. The passes can frost at night even in summer.

Practical tips
- Bayinbuluke stays are limited; book early in summer.
- The high grassland is cold at night, pack warm.
- Fuel up before the remote stretches.
- Never let the tank drop below half on remote roads. Fuel stations thin out sharply once you leave the main G30 corridor, and a few only take cash or UnionPay.
